St. John’s is committed to supporting persons of all ages and stages in exploring the Christian faith and knowing and following Jesus Christ as disciples in home, congregation and community.

For those who would like to know more about Jesus and Christianity, a seven week course called “Introducing God” is offered from time to time.   A course called “Come and C” is also available for those who are relative newcomers to the the Christian faith, or who would like to revisit the core beliefs of our faith.  “Come and C” is ideal for adults who are interested in being baptised or in receiving Holy Communion as part of our congregation.

A key dimension of our congregation’s spiritual growth activities is our ministry to children, youth and their families.

  • Baptism Preparation is a first step for many families.  Our Baptism Preparation Sessions are designed to help parents live into the promises they make at the font to nurture their children spiritually.
  • Milestones Ministry is being introduced and developed over time to better connect with and support families in faith as children grow from infants to kids to teenagers to young adults.
  • Our Sunday morning children’s ministry program, K-Motion, helps to nurture primary-age school children in their faith by connecting them with God’s Word in age-appropriate ways.
  • Our Confirmation Ministry program aims to assist youth in school years 7 and 8 to grow spiritually, with a key emphasis on partnering with the home as the primary context for faith formation.
