Small Groups Ministry

Small groups are a vital part of our life and ministry at St. John’s.  In small groups attenders develop relationships, learn together, care for each other, and serve one another and the wider community in Jesus’ name.  Gudrun Collins is employed as our Small Groups Ministry Coordinator for one day per week.  She works to support our small group leaders and help people find their way into our small group life.

There are a variety of small groups in the congregation:

Bible Study Groups – gathering at various times of the day and evening either at the church or in member’s homes.  Most of these groups are meeting fortnightly to grow together in Christian faith and discipleship.

St John’s Ladies Guild – meeting the first Wednesday of the month in the Community Room at St. John’s from 9am onwards.

Shedmen – meeting on the first Friday of the month at 6.30 pm at various sheds. At Shedmen blokes of different ages get together around a barbie for fellowship and discussion on men’s issues.  Bring some meat for the barbie, something to drink and a seat.  Mates welcome.

Crafty Ladies – gathering on the third Saturday of the month at 1 pm.  Contact the Office for more details – (07) 4152 5900.  Bring along your own craft and join us for a chat.
